The Storm Hits

Why can’t one bring a baby home to a house of bliss? It becomes chaos and out of control the moment I walk in with the new little bug. The air went out in August and now the hot water heater went out. Jules is vomiting and has a cold and Cougar has a fever of 103! Brock seems fine and unfazed by everything.

08-08-08 Baby!

1 and 1/2 half hour after Dr. Goff broke my water, Brock came flying from the birth canal like a speeding bullet, held back only by the cord wrapped around his little tiny neck.
I was initially panicked at the sight of my blue gray colored baby who didn’t make a sound. Minutes later, after little special attention and an oxygen mask, he was the proper color of pink and making baby noises.
It will never cease to amaze me how much love we can feel for a little baby we just met. It has been really nice to spend time with just Brock over the last 24 hours before we return home to the rest of the family. He is 5 lbs 12 oz of sweetness. He doesn’t cry much and loves to snuggle.

My Feet Hurt!

Well, not much time left. My body is restless. Inside I want to run 10 miles from being stir crazy, but when my burning, aching, swollen feet touch the floor I just want to pick them right back up again and prop them up on a pillow.
I cannot believe my first grader has football practice 3 days a week for 1 1/2 hours a day. Seems totally crazy to me. I am dying in the heat as it is, this is the last thing I need and have no idea how we will do this with a new born and a two year old. And by we, I mean me. How will I do this? If I knew what I was getting into I would have run for the hills.
I so excited to meet this new little baby. I am terrified of Juliet’s reaction. Chad is on the craziest hours, I think I might go crazy because of it.
We got our first pay check this week. It wasn’t the big bucks but that was still super exciting! It’s been so long since any money has come in that we didn’t owe back to anyone. Yay, for graduating Medical School!
I probably will make no more videos until sometime after the baby is born. Gotta take a break!!!

Ticking Time Bomb of Amniotic Fluid

After having my computer stolen in France it has taken a while to get everything back on track. Finally I am getting to my website! www.TheFamousStacie.com It is new and much more self-centered. Oh well, as a mom and wife, very little is about ME anymore so ....

I am walking around like a ticking time bomb. I am paranoid and obsessive and worried, oh, just a big mess really. I am trying to get ready for this baby. He will be here in 3 days and I don’t even have a bed for him, or have even figured out where he’ll be sleeping!

My mother-in-law has made sure that this little guy will not go without, for sure. She has shown up with more clothes for him than I have drawer room for. I am glad he will have some new clothes just for him. Poor baby #3!

My mother is sending her maids over to clean my house for me so I will not bring this little guy into a home of filth. I am super grateful for that. It is so hard at the end to move around, much less clean!

Alright, signing out!
